Householder Prize

Nomination deadlines, eligibility rules, and the award ceremony schedule for the 2028 symposium will be posted here once the program committee publishes them.

About the prize

The Householder Prize recognizes outstanding Ph.D. theses in numerical linear algebra. It is administered by the Householder Prize Committee and traditionally announced in connection with the Householder Symposium. For background and past winners, see the official symposium pages and SIAM’s documentation for the Householder Award (naming and procedures are occasionally updated—always check the call for that cycle).

For nominators

A typical nomination includes the thesis, supporting letters, and adherence to page or formatting guidelines specified in the prize call. This site will link to the active call when it is available.

Questions

Until this page is finalized, please direct inquiries through the international Householder committee channels listed on the host site for the current edition of the symposium.
